The Olympians

Most of you, if not all, know about Greek mythology, and the 12 Olympians; Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Dionysus, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus and Hermes, but for the purpose of this RP, Hephaestus has been swapped with Hades.
They used to be followed, a religion, until the world went to modern day, and they are now just myths.
To humans at least.
They are alive and strong on Olympus, waiting for their day again, which is now soon to come.
With the morals of society dwindling, they have no choice but to step up.
Today's soeicty is based mainly on science; and they realize that.
If they just show up out of no where and enforce their will with their powers, chaos and panic will ensue.
So, they do what they must.
Say [city name] is going under, they step in, not as Gods, but as people, they disguise themselves, and they help those who need it most.
So they stay hidden, hoping the day to reveal themselves again never comes.

Powers: Extremely good in battle, can always make a plan for anything, *some* premonition, can morph into an eagle

Personality: Isn't antisocial, but prefers to be able to think things out and therefore is often found alone on Olympus, planning while the others do what they do. Is very defensive + protective of the ones close to her, and generally nice + quiet.

Powers: Can transform into a Panther, Mood control, ability to preside over communication between the living and the dead

Weapon: A long staff with the head of a pine-cone.

Personality: Always fun loving and a little devious. Full of trickery, in the name of celebration and fun. Continually tries to lighten the mood. But doesn't always make everyone happy in the meantime. Is fond of match making, and entertainment. She's always in the mood for a party.

God of: god of music, The god of archery The god of healing and plagues who taught man medicine. The god of light. The god of truth, who can not speak a lie, god of prophecy The god of agriculture, The god of poetry.

Powers: Apollo has been know to guide arrow while they are in the air, he is know to be unable to lie, he can create plagues and heal almost anything, He can control and create light and see prophecies, Has been know to turn into Hawk or raven.

Weapon: Bows and Arrows, and upon an occasion a guitar.

Personality: Apollo is care free and like to listen to music, he hates modern poetry that is depressing and sad. He likes being in sun, seeing as how he pulls it across the sky every day.

God of; Goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, childbirth, and virginity.

Gender: Female

Appearance:

Powers: Communication and control of animals. Can relieve disease in women. Can turn into a deer.

Weapon: Bow and arrows.

Personality: Kind, somewhat reserved, enjoys listening to music, loves to hunt but not to kill, aversion to losing her virginity.

Goddess of: Love and beauty

Gender: Female

Appearance:


Powers: Seduction, persuasion, libido control, make men fall in love with her, and manipulation.

Weapon: Her sexuality, body, and her persuasion.

Personality: Warm and caring, takes pity upon those who are suffering. Aphrodite is very vain upon her beauty and insists she is the most beautiful goddess.

Affiliated/depicted with: The sea, dolphins, doves, swans, pomegranates, sceptres, apples, myrtle, rose trees, lime trees, clams, scallop shells, and pearls

God of; messenger of the gods, God of the Roads, Thieves, and Traveling and Writing

Appearance: Clothes change depending on mood



Powers: Has the ability to influence what people write about, flight, and shadows *might add more to accommodate the other god things of Hermes later*

Weapon: The pen is mightier than the sword

Personality: Tends to be paranoid about the evils of government. He likes to influence the writing of others to the subjects he wants them to write about such as propaganda, etc. He passes important news between the gods. Is old and wise. Tends to assert his opinion irregardless of the need.

I was thinking...
Since the only 2 left are Zeus and Hera, do you think we should have it so that they kind of just stay up on Mount Olympus, kind of a hold the fort down deal, and if needed, we can speak for them... any thoughts?

That's a good idea. if we need them later; and someone wants to join later; we have them to fall back on.

Hades is taken, and Persephone isn't one of the olympians.

No but she is still a goddess - Demeter's daughter and Hades' wife - there could be a place for her.

If not is there anyone free?

Hera is still open, so is Zeus I believe.

God of; the Sea, Storms, Earthquakes and Horses

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Powers: Controls water, horses, bulls, and sea creatures. Can communicate w/ those animals too. Can create storms and earthquakes.

Weapon: A knife that can transform into a trident.

Personality: Calm, funny, and easy-going. But occasionally slips into states of cruel, sadistic, and violent behavior.

If hades and demeter are not made soon, they will be put back up for grabs and people can switch to them if they want.

Zeus has electrokinesis.
Zeus can summon and control any form of weather he wishes on a worldwide level. ( Tornadoes, Wind etc. )

Weapon:
The Master Bolt, but when he is human it is a yellow pocket knife

Personality:
Zeus is seen as stubborn, proud, temperamental, and at times paranoid. He expects everyone to obey him without question and show him respect first and foremost. He is "very unforgiving", and refuses to admit when he is wrong. He seems to regard himself as above the rules considering his frequent infidelities and doing little to protect his mistresses or children from Hera or others he has angered. Zeus can kill mostly anybody without a shred of remorse.

Despite his negative flaws Zeus is often viewed as source of order and justice. He maintains control over the other gods preventing their feuds from getting out of hand. He also ensures the overall order of the world. He enforces justice, but a very different form from both modern and mortal ideas of it.

Ok how about Hades and Demeter stay at Olympus and hold the fort down. Like y'all mentioned earlier, and someone could rp as them if their needed. Because it is seriously taking to long for us to even start this rp.
