(Des)Rain fell heavily onto the streets of East Berlin. Lukas Black splashed through filthy puddles as he ran. He was reaching the limit of his strength now, his lungs burning for air. He risked a glimpse over his shoulder, the street looked clear. He ducking into the mouth of an ally and leant against the brick wall, gasping for breath.
He started at an icy voice beside his ear, " Good evening mr Black, we meet at last."
Lukas opened his mouth to scream but didn't get chance to speak before sharp teeth clamped down on his neck.
The black clad figure stepped back from the wall, grabbed hold of Lukas's limp body before it could hit the floor and slung it over his shoulder before setting off towards the border.
The director stared at Silas Wyn over the top of the highly polished desk. Eye puffed cigar smoke and observed the young man. He wasn't sure about Silas yet, if the youngster could handle this task and wasn't treacherous then he could deal with almost anything.
"I have a job for you." He took another puff of his cigar. "Our agents in the east keep vanishing." He pulled a bunch photographs out of a plain manila envelope and slid them across the desk to Silas.
"The last one to die. Lukas Black, one of our agents in East Berlin."
The photographs showed a pale corpse lying in the shadow of a border inspection point. There was then a post mortem photo showing puncture wounds in the the hollow of the neck.
"So... what do you make of these?"
(Synic)Silas stared back at the director who had called him in. His glance towards the man was, if anything, curious and albeit a bit cynical. The last several cases he had been employed on where cases of lost people. Usually people that nobody really cared that went missing...basically just a way for him to show his metal. With cases like that, where he had been Expected to fail, he couldn't help but be suspicious of this one. He wasn't sure about this but he was ready, if he needed, to prove himself again. Still it was a bit repetitive if not tiring. He couldn't really blame them. His own background was a bit of a draw-back..
When the director spoke again, Silas was suddenly intrigued. Agents. They were wanted...not like some of the people he had been made to track down. No these people ACTUALLY mattered. As he listened his eyes gleamed with interest. Silas reached for the photographs and kept a still emotion as he studied them. His eyes took in every detail. The color of the background. The way the body was lying. Everything. He didn't know how valuable it might be to remember but he did know information was vital. Going to the last picture he saw the picture of the body. At first he couldn't make out much of anything. That is when he saw the bruising and paleness of the skin. It was as though someone punctured the veins with something sharp, smooth untensil.
" It was quick. Unexpected. Not enough time for a struggle.." He muttered puzzling of whatever what could have caused it. " It isn't animal. Other wise there would be more marks..and not snake." Silas traced his finger lightly over the photo. " A snake would've had to wrap it's coils around the neck.. only one side of his neck shows a particular bruising. The other side is without mark. A gun is more of a mess and the wounds were the cause of death. Unless he was poisoned and the tool was used afterwords. However poison victims usually have other post mortem signs. He does not. Also there is something particular about the clothes.." He pointed at them." They're messed up but his body shows little sign of struggle. My assumption is that either his murder searched his clothes or he was moved. As for how he was killed..it appears to look mythical. Like something from a child's nightmare stories. Probably somekind of weapon but the kind that would do this escapes my mind." Silas would never say vampire. To say that word ment to say that he believed in such childish nonsense. Which he didn't. If it wasn't in the realms of reality..he didn't believe. Such a cynic.
(Shiney)Adriane grew very bored of Russia. Very quickly.
It's cold and borning, and lonely... and boring
She sighed, and put on her coat, then grabbed her bags.
She ran swiftly through the back streets out of sight, to where she had crossed into the country from, again, no guards. She scoffed at their lack of security, crossed to Poland, and got on a train back to West Germany.
This was another dead end... they aren't going to be happy. None of them knew anything, and there were no traces left of an assassin. They are going to start thinking I'm incompetent.
(Ginger)"You're not going to solve this before I am," Amalie was talking to Engel, after they where briefed on the newest case.
"You would do good to remember that." She was teasing giving him a competitive grin.
"Oh... and one more thing, don't do anything to stupid." She warned then instantly looked away, afraid she might have said something she shouldn't have, she didn't want Engel, or anyone else for that matter, to know how she felt about him.
(Angelus) "Ya, sure you are." he smiled buttoning the buttons on his jacket. "I mean you were 11th in out of our class. To bad that one guy got 10th , what was his name again? It started with an E, was it Edward, no thats not it, oh ya now I remember it was Engel." he smiled again.
"Face it babe..." he started knowing that calling her babe always got to her
"You're out of your league."(Ginger)"You know good and well that you only got that because I had gotten sick and missed some of the work, other wise I would have easily beaten you like a cheap rug." Amalie corrected Engel with an eye roll. She barely noticed he called her Babe.
"Engel, please don't call me Babe, we're not together anymore," She, sadly, told him still being careful not to meet his eyes. She tried to keep her tone annoyed, instead of letting the truth show.
"And by 'Out of your league' I'm sure you meant that I'm above your league, after all I am the one that broke up with you." She shot back instantly sorry for what she said.
(Angelus) "Excuses, excuses." he chuckled. After hearing her retort
"Gina, didn't seem to think so." he said back mentioning her BFF from high school.
"She was very nice after our break up.... very very nice." he grinned, as he walked off.
"Now if you'll excuse me I have a case to solve." (Dar) Vlad yawned while reading a book and drinking some of his special ''wine''..In about 30 minutes he was to make contact with 2 germman agents who were specialy selected for this mission, there also seemed to be a connection between those two that could be exploited in the future. At least that's what he was told.
'How am I supposed to work with the western agents and keep those two under control,I mean I may be a vampire and not that weak under the sun but im not a miracle maker' he thought as the train arrived in Berlin.
(Shiney)Sonja got off the train and breathed in the air.
Home...
But the second she got back to the base... another assignment.
"Damnit, I just got back." She protested.
The only reply she got was that the country doesn't wait for her.
"I swear if I'm with another human... You know how I get when I'm hungry and they are pissy, and whiny" She said, waiting for her assignment.
(Ginger)When Engel mentioned her old best friend, who she didn't like any longer, she instantly became angry with him and Gina.
"Never bring up Gina again!" She threatened and quickly turned down the hall on her left that lead outside. All the while mumbling to herself about how Gina was nothing more then a simple whore. when she got the doors she slammed them out of her way, and sat down on the small log bench outside the doors.
"Why did he have to go and bring that wretched woman up for?" She whispered to herself before closing her eyes and trying to use the case that was given to her to distract her from the anger, it was times like these that she was glad she had such an impeccable memory.
(Lava)Akina heard about the news from some other vampires she was leaving a shop that was on the other side of town. Akine looked to be 16 innocent an naive appearance, leather hide cloth wears sandles instead of heels, skirt with pants show the figure of her legs.
Akina::
https://2img.net/h/i232.photobucket.com/albums/e...a_girl-1-1.jpgaki knew of the vampire personally of who attacked. Didnt' agree with way of being a vampire but she was one herself, she feasted off the blood of animals never a human. Being in the wilderness so much has the scent of a plants and fresh flowers rather then that of the undead. She sits with a basket thats beside her that sh weaved herself a sparrow was in the basket that came of its own accord. she gave it soem bread was closer with animals then humans. sipes some of her tea keeping an attention on people who had passed about the area. memorizing who they were their appearances looked ot be that she akina was waiting for someone.
(Des)The Director nodded to Silas,
"Yes, an unusual case. We have a procedure for cases such as this." He was watching the young man, waiting to see what his reactions would be to what was said. The Director might be plump and grey now but in his youth he too had been an agent.
"We pass them over to one of our specialists. She will be working with you on this case. I don't know exactly what she is a specialist in, I think it is connected with cults and black magic superstition. In any case in two days time the pair of you are heading out to Berlin. Any Questions?"(Angelus)Engel walked down the hall, towards his next partner. He heard that she was talented, and a vampire. He had always like working with vampires espically female ones. He made a left and went through a door into a room and saw her, a blonde vampire. He nodded to her and took a seat next to her.
(Ginger)Amalie faintly wondered why the wounds in the picture, that was shown to her, looked so familiar until it came rushing back from an old memory of her mother. She could see everything in the memory from when she was five as if it were just the other day.
Her mother had just came in the house with her hand pressed against her bloody neck, "Mama, what happened?" She remembered asking, her mothers only response had been a short "Vam..." before she had passed out from blood loss.
Amalie quickly shook away the terrible memory of her mother.
"Could that be what happened with this case?" She whispered to herself almost incoherently.
(Shiney)Adriane looked back at the man who entered.
"This one isn't going to get himself killed, is he?" She asked, and recieved a no in reply.
"Good," she said, looking back at him again.
(Dar)Vladimir was walking towards the german offices where he was supposed to report his arrival. The sun was shinning brightly but he didn't mind it as he got used to it during all these years, and it no longer had the ghastly effect on him that it once had.He always enjoyed visting Berlin, it always had a soft spot in his heart and made him feel young and foolish again.Upon arriving he spoke to the guards in accentless german, and was soon on his way down the hall.
(Ginger)With a yawn, Amalie got up from her place on the bench and headed to her new Borgward Hansa, she wanted to get home so she could think without all the distractions "at the office", as she often put it. While walking up to the door she trailed her fingers over the glossy black paint job, simply admiring it, before getting in and turning the key, causing the engine to start, and went on her way.
"I should have went home last night." She mumbled to herself, to fill the silence empty car and, she regretted staying at the office all night, but she knew that she had to stay to figure out who... or what was behind the attack on the man in the photo.
(Lava)Akina had came later on seemed abit troubled somethings on mind, looking around she forgot her ways the fox still in her basket. and the sparrow on her shoulder looking around felt out of place.
"Wish jacques was here right now..." thought to herself, he could have helped me. She looked aroudn sees a building and walks inside hoping that possible could get some direction. didn't know was a vamp hunting agency. "Maybe someone can help me."
(Ginger)Amalie parked her car in the driveway and entered her house, knowing that if "the office" needed her they would send Engel, he always had known where she was. She went straight for the secret compartment in bottom drawer of her desk and pulled out an old picture, of her mother, from the night she had been attacked. After comparing the pictures, of the man's wounds that had been killed and the wounds that where on her mother the night she had been attacked, for what seemed like hours. Amalie got up from the desk, kind of sore from sitting so long, and went straight to bed, too tired to think about anything else.
(Synic)Silas at first said nothing. It was still and the air was tensed as if being charged with microscopic electrodes. It was tension and it was excitement.
"But unusual usually means more exciting." Silas admitted with almost a soft purr to his voice. It cut out immediately when the next part of the newsflash hit him. Eyes narrowed and he gripped the arms of the chair with white knuckles.
"Am I missing something? I thought we've been through this.." Silas struggled to keep his voice down but the anger bled through quite plainly.
"When are you going to allow me to actually take this on? Is this even a real case?" Silas stood.
"Because apparently I can't tell anymore. IF this isn't you had better make DAMN sure."Yes this was probably a dumb move but he had been tossed about under so many fake cases, he wasn't even sure of the real ones anymore. Still there is only so much you can do and get away with. Silas forgoed the appology but he still appeared ticked.
"When will I be meeting her ? Because I'd rather know now everything I'm getting into than just the ' exciting ' parts"
